Engineering organisation buys Atlanta association

Raleigh-based engineering organisation SME, that has been expanding by acquisitions over the past decade, has voiced the greatest understanding yet.

The companys squeeze of the resources of Atlanta-based Qore Property Sciences has increased the payroll by about 260 workers, giving SME a sum of about 960 employees sparse opposite twenty-eight offices in eight southeastern states, pronounced Chris Headley, record and communications executive at SME. The squeeze took outcome Monday; the sale cost was not disclosed.

The understanding boosts SMEs capability "to take on todays rising engineering and environmental sustainability challenges," CEO Randy Neuhaus pronounced in a rebuilt statement.

SME took on the "vast majority" of Qore employees, but not all of them, pronounced Headley.

Founded in Raleigh in 1973 as Soil and Materials Engineers, SME provides a accumulation of services such as geotechnical, construction, H2O resources and plain rubbish engineering and environmental and occupational health and reserve services.

SME has acquired five companies over the past decade, but reported that the ultimate understanding is by far the largest. The employee-owned commercial operation has 100 employees in Raleigh and 310 in North Carolina.
